Princes Trust Courses
Use with discretion, I found the Princes Trust Personal Development course to be highly disability unfriendly and am almost a year into waiting for a response.
The Princes Trust Organisation offer 3 types of courses all for 16 to 25 year olds who are unemployed. As such, you can go on these courses without it interfering with your benefits like JSA and ESA. These short courses are specific skills and expertise in an area you may need to get you into a certain career path.
For 13-19 yrs, develop new skills, try new things and gain confidence through this course by working with a team. Activities include community work, business experience, find out out what work is available for you and practising an completely new activity!
This 12 week long course is a personal development and team building course for 16-25 yrs, ideal for those unsure of what they want to do with life but with the desire to better themselves and learn a variety of new skills.
Princes Trust Programmes
These are short courses in areas of interest such as music, sport, performance or creative arts. Something you may have a passion for, or are interested in trying for the first time.
Like the Team course combines one-to-one support and group activities to those between 13-25 yrs. You'll be able to try new things and build new skills. This programme works at your own pace so will continue as long as you need it and on its completion you'll be supported in moving onto a positive outcome.
Support for 18-30 yrs, who are unemployed or work less than 16 hours a week and want to start up their own business. This programme includes; Support in getting a low interest loan, one-to-one support to turn your idea into a business plan, training and mentoring.
