Living with Disco Migraines and Vertigo
A good friend understands your pain and can paraphrase it in the best way.
This is how Davehat understands Disco Migraines and Vertigo, hopefully it'll help explain it to some others too.
What are they?
While waiting for my MRI scan last week, I was talking to a fellow migraine sufferer in the waiting room about my migraines.
I outlined my symptoms;
A disco ball, strobe lights, foam, spot lights, some drunk idiot falling over - that part makes up the vertigo pretty nicely.
While waiting for my MRI scan last week, I was talking to a fellow migraine sufferer in the waiting room about my migraines.
I outlined my symptoms;
- Artificial lights make the hues of my vision change colour, from green to orange to yellow to blue,
- Sudden movement may cause me to see many white stars floating about everywhere and think it is heavily snowing, even indoors,
- I get white blobs in my line of vision, over one eye, or blinding whiteness temporarily,
- and more recently, actual temporary blindness.
A disco ball, strobe lights, foam, spot lights, some drunk idiot falling over - that part makes up the vertigo pretty nicely.
Davehat made this mix for me; 'Here is a mix I made for my disabled friend because I care about people with disabilities' inspired by our conversation.
I wonder what other strange kinds of Migraine types there are out there?
